Oriental Rhythm was born from a serendipitous encounter between our founders and a master lacquer artisan in a small workshop in southern China. As we watched him layer natural lacquer onto jade—one coat at a time, waiting days for each to cure, polishing until the color danced like a river across the stone—we realized: **these ancient techniques are not relics of the past. They are the future of luxury.**
For 7,000 years, Eastern artisans have turned nature’s gifts into works of art: nephrite jade carved for wisdom, lacquer painted for vitality, silver forged for protection. But for too long, these treasures were trapped in museums or limited to traditional occasions. We set out to change that.
We brought together a community of master artisans—lacquer artists with 40+ years of experience, silversmiths who specialize in lost-wax casting, jade carvers who honor the stone’s natural form—and paired them with international designers. Together, we reimagined Eastern symbols for the modern wearer:
