1. Jade Carving & Polishing: The base is meticulously carved from a solid block of premium Hetian black jade. Artisans shape it into a classic barrel form, then painstakingly polish it to achieve a smooth, matte finish that highlights the jade's deep, velvety luster.
2. Gold & Silver Inlay: Precise channels are carved into the jade surface, into which thin strips of gold and silver are carefully set. Artisans then shape the inlays into the iconic circular "eye" motifs, creating a textured, tactile surface.
3. Final Finishing: The entire piece is hand-polished to ensure the jade and metal inlays are seamlessly integrated, creating a smooth, reflective surface that highlights the contrast between the black jade and the shimmering gold and silver.
